This week we had the pleasure of celebrating our participants in the Indigenous Pathways Program at a special event in partnership with Rio Tinto.

The Program provides Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees the opportunity to upskill through traineeships, apprenticeships and tertiary study, aiming to increase skilled and qualified Indigenous people in the WA workforce.

The afternoon tea was an opportunity to acknowledge our current cohort of participants and congratulate those who have recently graduated from the program.

Awards were given to the following participants for completing their respective courses:  

• Tahlia McLennan – Cert IV in Aboringal Leadership
• Sean Garvie - Cert IV in Training and Assessor
• Marilyn Eades - Cert III in Civil and Construction 

The afternoon tea was a great opportunity for the program participants, Steering Committee and Program working group to get together and meet in-person.
