Celebrating 50 Years of Monadelphous
2022 marks Monadelphous’ 50th year in operation, an opportunity to celebrate the Company’s rich history, commitment to performance, delivering on its promises to customers and returning value to shareholders, employees and local communities.
It all began in 1972 in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia when Contract Engineering Associates (CEA), the company that would later be renamed Monadelphous in 1978, was established to provide general mechanical contracting services to Australia’s growing mining industry.
By the mid-1980s the Company had expanded into a number of markets, both interstate and overseas, and its shares were traded on the second board of the Australian Stock Exchange. In the late 1980s, a major restructure of the Company took place with the business refocusing on maintenance and construction services in the resources industry.
The Company has continued to diversify and extend its reputation as a supplier of multidisciplinary construction, maintenance and industrial services to many of the largest companies in the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Although Monadelphous has grown significantly since 1972, the people and core values remain at the heart of the business. It’s these values and people that have driven success through the challenges and realised the opportunities that have created Monadelphous today.
